I Offer Two Counseling Options

Questions?

No, I do not take health insurance and I am an out-of-network provider. I do not directly bill medical insurance companies. I believe the luxury of not having to leave your home or office or wait for your appointment in a waiting room is invaluable. Because I do not have to inform medical/health insurance companies of our sessions, there is no lasting labels or diagnosis that are required. You are completely in charge of your health care and what information is given. If you request, I am more than happy to provide you with documentation of my services, which you can choose to submit to your medical/health insurance company.
Two reasons. One, insurance companies require mental health services to be provided in an office setting to be covered by your policy. Yet, not accepting medical insurance, simplifies the financial aspect of your mental health care. Unless there is a strong legal reason, no one will have access to your mental health record. There will be no need to attach a label or diagnosis to you, as is required by insurance companies. I believe in personal freedom to choose your health care. With the elimination of insurance companies, only you decide who and when you want to receive care. There is no other person or bureaucracy , dictating your health care. The focus is on you, your family and your health care.
I consider Isanti, Chisago, Kanabec, and Sherburne County, my home counties. In providing superior personal service, I will consider any location that is a good fit for my services.
All information that is shared with me during our sessions is protected by federal law (HIPAA) and is confidential. I take privacy and confidentiality very seriously. In most cases, your written consent will be required before I can ever share any information. There are also some dangerous situations that could arise that I am legally required to notify appropriate authorities. The following are the cases that I will report: 1. If a client reports child abuse or child neglect, I will make a report to Child Protective Services. 2. If a client shares information that they are harming themselves or have the intent to harm another individual, I will notify authorities. 3. There may be instances when mental health records could be subpoenaed by the court. I will do my best to comply with the subpoena while releasing as minimal amount of confidential information as I can. 4. If a client is under the age of 18 and not emancipated, then parents and/or legal guardians may request access to the client's medical records. I very much honor confidentiality and privacy as key elements to successful mental health treatment, yet will share what is requested to honor the parental relationship.
Pre-license means that I am NOT yet licensed by the State of Minnesota as a Professional Clinical Counselor. To be in private practice and share in therapy and mental health counseling, I must be supervised by a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor who is also a Supervisor. This means that I may discuss any or all of our confidential sessions with her. I am supervised by Jamie Mosley, LPCC-S, LDWF in Andover, MN. If you have any questions or concerns about my counseling, she may be reached at Conscious Healing Counseling at 815.973.0999.
I currently accept Personal Checks, Mastercard, Visa, and Cash for all of my therapy appointments. Additionally, I accept PayPal & Venmo, yet neither of these services is guaranteed to be confidential. If you prefer to pay via PayPal or Venmo, just let me know and it is easy to arrange.

Living in Minnesota means extreme weather. As long as I feel the roads are safe in my four-wheel drive vehicle, I will do my best to reach your home or office.
