And Families Notice First...
Numbness. Pulling back. Shutting people out. Snapping fast. Hyper-alert even when you’re exhausted to the bone. Most days feel like you’re running on fumes. People around you say, “Relax, you’re not at the department/station/hospital/prison anymore,” but they don’t understand—you don’t just turn off crisis mode. It follows you home.
When you feel like no one gets what you see, what you carry, or how close you stay to danger, you start going inward. You go quiet. You get colder. Maybe you numb out with booze, scrolling, hookups, or anything that keeps the memories and adrenaline from catching you off guard. But the truth is simple: your body and mind are still reacting to the trauma, chaos, and horrific situations you face on shift. And eventually, that disconnect shows up everywhere—in your relationships, your patience, your sleep, and your sense of self.
Whether you’re a First Responder or the person who loves one, you live inside a level of stress and exposure most people will never understand. And when you’re trying to keep your life, your home, and your relationships from tipping over, you need someone who isn’t scared of the truth—someone who actually understands what the job does to you.
If you’re looking for therapy that’s straight, grounded, trauma-focused, and action-oriented, I’m here for that work. Individual, couple, or family counseling—whatever the starting point—I hold space for all of it. The anger, the shutdown, the burnout, the loyalty, the fear, the things you won’t say out loud. Together, we build clarity, coping skills, and connection you can actually use—not fluffy theory, not surface-level advice, but real tools for real life
My Therapeutic Approach

Every session I run looks different, because every person who walks into my office is different. Think fingerprints. You deserve a therapeutic process that’s tailored to you, not a one-size-fits-all script. With First Responders especially, I make room for your specific pain points, triggers, and the environments that shaped them. I work with couples, families, partners of First Responders, and individual First Responders navigating burnout, life transitions, relationship breakdowns, and the raw symptoms of trauma and mental health strain.
What we do together depends on what you need. Maybe we focus on the surface-level stuff that’s blowing up your day-to-day. Maybe we go deeper into the places you’ve buried—old injuries, chaotic calls, the moments that rewired your system without your consent. Before we dive into the emotional layers, we’ll slow down and get clear on what your trauma looks like, how your brain absorbs it, and how your body keeps score long after the shift is over.
From there, I pull from trauma-informed, evidence-based approaches like BrainSpotting (BSP), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Trauma-Informed Solution-Focused Therapy (TSFT). These methods help reset your stress responses, reconnect you with yourself, and give you back the parts of your life that trauma tried to shut down.
For couples, the work is about rebuilding connection in a world that constantly pulls you apart. We dig into intimacy, communication, trust, and the emotional patterns underneath both of your reactions. I blend Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), Narrative Therapy, and Solution-Focused Therapy (SFT) to help you understand each other on a deeper, more honest level—and to create action-driven solutions that actually land.
Whether you’re a First Responder or the person who loves one, therapy gives you space to work through what’s weighing on you, strengthen your boundaries, sharpen your communication, and finally feel like your needs are seen and respected. Your job doesn’t offer many moments of peace. Therapy can be the place where you reclaim it—and build a life that feels steadier, fuller, and genuinely yours.
